Per the BRA, the New Four Seasons Hotel and Residences (otherwise known as the Christian Science Plaza) broke ground on January 14, 2015 with Mayor Walsh in attendance. The 691 ft hotel and residential tower will be the largest building constructed since the Hancock Tower in the 1970’s.  Clearly, this is big news in the Boston real estate market.  The condominiums will be made of 200 luxury residences averaging over 2,000 sf.  The rumor on the block is that pricing will range above $2,000 sf.  If this is true, the average price will be well above $4,000,000.

The building will need to market to empty-nesters and internationals in order to achieve the high pricing they need/desire.  With the addition of Millennium Tower, 40 Trinity, Christian Science Four Seasons and Pier 4,  Boston is seeing a boom in luxury housing in the Boston’s Urban Core.
