Per the BRA, Seaport Square Block M (M1 and M2) will be a mixed-use development with 735 residential units in three towers, plus 125,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The development will offer ownership as well as rental opportunities. At least 455 of the units will be condos. One of the residential towers, located on Seaport Boulevard, will have 275 condominium units, and range in height between 14 and 21 stories. The building will feature private as well as amenity terraces. Another residential tower, containing 180 condominiums and located on B Street, will range between 10 and 21 stories and offer views of the skyline and the Harbor. The third tower will contain 280 units, a mix of “innovation” units and luxury residential units.
The development will have garage parking with 560 spaces. A one-acre courtyard, located in the center of the buildings, will be accessible to residents by pedestrian passageways. The project is being developed by Cottonwood Management, and the three residential towers are being designed by KPF Architects. CBT Architects is the architect of record. Cottonwood is planning to start construction of the project this fall, with an estimated completion date of 2020.
Seaport Square Block M will be one of the largest developments in the Seaport Square District. Readily accessible to public transportation, the MBTA Courthouse station on the Silver Line is located below the project site. The project site is close to Boston Logan International Airport. The development is directly accessible to the Mass Pike and RT 93. Zipcar locations and Hubway bike rental stations will be located nearby as well.
